Lucía Macchia - Founder

I am a social scientist with an interdisciplinary background. In my research, I explore the science of well-being. I focus on aspects that can improve people's happiness, as well as reduce uncomfortable emotions such as stress.
I grew up in Argentina, where I studied Business Administration at the National University of La Plata. After four years working in the private sector, I became interested in the workings of the human mind and moved to the UK to pursue an MSc in Behavioral Economics.
After completing my MSc, I pursued a PhD in Psychology, where I researched the relationship between well-being and macroeconomic conditions. I continued my postdoctoral career at the University of Oxford and the Harvard Kennedy School, where I began working on prosocial behavior and physical pain.
Currently, I am a lecturer at the School of Health and Medical Sciences at City St George's, University of London; and a research affiliate at the London School of Economics and the University of Oxford.
I also lead courses on behavioral science and well-being at institutions in Latin America.
